No cloud account
Your router works entirely on your network. Nothing about your home routes through a vendor cloud to function.
No remote administration
The admin UI and API are reachable from your LAN only. WAN-side administration is blocked by default, not by a setting you have to find.
Signed, automatic updates
Every firmware release is cryptographically signed and verified on-device before install. Rollback and factory recovery are built in.
Nothing to misconfigure
No LuCI, SSH/Telnet, WPS, UPnP, bridge mode or general-purpose port-forwarding UI — the safe policy is enforced automatically.

Our story
Why we built Tuprae
It started with a pattern that was hard to ignore. Story after story about 5G modems and home routers being broken into — vulnerabilities sitting in the very chips that connect millions of homes to the internet. At the same time, the EU began rolling out the Cyber Resilience Act, finally requiring the kind of security-by-design that consumer hardware should have had from the start.
We didn't want to wait for the industry to catch up. So we built a firmware that starts locked-down and stays that way — one that doesn't need you to become a network engineer just to feel safe on your own Wi-Fi.
There's no account to create, no companion app, and no cloud dashboard watching what you do. The only thing Tuprae ever talks to us about is whether your license is valid and whether a new update is available — nothing else leaves your network. What you do online is entirely your own business. We don't monitor your traffic, we don't collect your data, and we don't want to. Our job isn't to know what you're doing — it's to make sure you're safe while you do it.
The name comes from Latin: tutus, safe — and praesidium, a place of protection. That's the whole idea, in two words.
